Recorded in a converted chapel in the Welsh borders and finished in London, their fourth album is the sound of a band who survived arena tours, Ellie Rowsell�s solo detour, and the quiet terror of turning 30. It�s louder, softer, weirder, and more tender than anything they�ve done before: My Bloody Valentine guitars crash into Fleetwood Mac harmonies, Pixies snarls melt into Cocteau Twins haze, and Ellie sings like she�s confessing to both God and the devil at the same time.
